ROG Motherboards

There are two types of Naming schemes present for Asus' ROG Motherboard Lineup.

Enthusiast Grade

The enthusiast grade ROG Motherboards use a tiered naming scheme, and are easily identified by their having a series name and a Roman numeral. There are also various suffixes. For example; the Maximus V Extreme

  • Crossblade -
  • Crosshair - Consumer Grade AMD CPUs
  • Dominus - Workstation Grade Intel CPUs
  • Maximus - Consumer Grade Intel CPUs
  • Rampage - HEDT Grade Intel CPUs
  • Striker - Enthusiast nVidia Chipsets for Intel CPUs
  • Zenith - HEDT Grade AMD CPUs

The Roman numerals which follow simply count up for each new generation of motherboards, the first Motherboard in a Series does not bear
